Thanks for visiting, this is our Definitive CyberPatrol Review. No nonsense, no hype – Everything you NEED to know before you purchase CyberPatrol Parental Controls.

But if you are in a hurry, you can —->>Click Here To Visit CyberPatrol Parental Controls Official Site.

To prevent kids from accessing unwanted websites while allowing them to experience all the positive features of the internet, the CyberPatrol program allows administrators to do just that. The program can be set to block websites by pre-determined categories or by filtering specific websites that are unwanted by the administrator so that their child is not exposed to the “bad side” of the internet. The settings can be adjusted so that if a site that wants to be allowed is under the blocked category, it can be allowed.

While it is a great program for filtering the internet, there are some aspects that the program lacks compared to other leading filtering programs. The program does not report any unwanted activity like several other programs with activity reports or alerting emails. Administrators can block activity by keywords or phrases that many online predators may use but when these terms are detected, no warning message is sent.

Though it is missing some key features, CyberPatrol has features that other programs of this type do not have. The time spent online can be limited by this program so that the child user does not spend a large amount of time on the internet. Time spent on other computer activities can be limited too such as on games or any other time consuming computer activity.

Feature Set:

Though the CyberPatrol program does not come with the wide range of features that other programs do, it does have all of the basic monitoring, managing, and web filtering features that make a program like this effective. The filtering can be broadened to more than just preventing access for websites. CyberPatrol can block instant messaging programs, chat conversations, any uploaded programs, and many other things that waste time or space on the computer.

Not only with CyberPatrol prevent kids from being exposed to unwanted internet sites, it can also protect kids from attracting online predators and cyber bullies that can damage kids experience on the internet. The program can be set to block the child from releasing any personal information to the online world such as phone numbers or addresses.

The time controlling feature of CyberPatrol is another feature that separates this program for other competing programs. There can be limits set on the time of day in which the computer can be accessed. We day to day or weekly time allowance can be set as well so that a massive amount of time is not spent on the computer by the kid. Not only can internet time be limited but time on games or other computer programs can be limited.

The program comes with reporting features that comes with a detailed description that includes when and how long each website was visited. Weekly summary reports are available along with day to day reports. This allows the administrator to effectively monitor all of the activity done on the computer.

The CyberPatrol program is designed allow proper internet use and not just limit unsafe sites. The administrator can adjust the settings so that any blocked site or program can be lifted by a password. The password can become useful if the child needs to access a website that contains useful information or if they need more time on the computer.

If the child that is being restricted on the computer is in their teens or more mature, a warning can be placed so that if a website that would normally be blocked is accessed, the user is aware of the dangers of the site. The program comes with a feature that can block or “black list” particular websites and allow them with a message or “white list” them.

Ease of Use:

One of the best aspects of this program is that it is easy to use. The functions of the program are easy to browse and access all of the tools that it comes with. The way that the program is organized is using the basic tree structure which allows the user to always know where they are when using the program. The organization and layout of the software makes it easy to the user to use.

The customizations of the settings in the program are easy to navigate and access as well so that the user knows what they are doing. CyberPatrol does not put a limit on the number of administrative users that the program can hold. Multiple administrative users can create their own settings and set the own password so that no other user can adjust the settings. There are 14 categories that the software filters: chat, adult, violence, gambling, and several others. Each category can be set on a level 1 to 5 with 5 being to strongest security. The level can be adjusted by a simple slider scale.

Ease of Installation:

There are no problems when installing this program on to the computer. Putting the program on to the computer is easy but to set up multiple administrative users includes a more time consuming process. The process is made simple by the predetermined categories of adults, mature teens, young teen, and children.

Even though there are multiple options for the user, the setup process is not complicated. Users can even incorporate their existing Windows accounts to the program. Setting the time limits for users is made easy with the time grid that allows the administrator to organize the time slots in which the children can access the computer. The program comes with a one year subscription in which the consumer can install the program on to three computers.

Filtering Effectiveness:

The program is good at dictating which sites should be blocked and prevents from over blocking sites that do not contain any harm. The site easily detects the common unwanted sites like pornography, gambling, or violent sites but sites that can be classified as harmful that are in a foreign language are tough to filter.

If a site slips through the filter, it is easy for the administrator to add the site to the blocked list. If the administrator is unsure if the site should be blocked out not, they can allow the site to specific users and prevent them from others.

Summary:

CyberPatrol is an effective computer filtering program that allows administrators to protect younger users from accessing harmful sites. The multiple areas that the program can censor and its easy use, separates this program from other competing programs.
